Food, in the end, in our own tradition, is something holy. It’s not about nutrients and calories. It’s about sharing. It’s about honesty. It’s about identity.

Our menu is inspired from places close to our hearts. Whether from the aromas emanating from our grandmother's kitchen in Segamat, Malaysia, or from our formative years spent in Singapore or even from the times we were away from home embracing new cultures and cuisines We spent our early years watching our grandmother and later on, our mother, prepare traditional Hakka & Nonya dishes, wrap a gazillion rice dumplings one by one, steam nonya kuehs for hours and of course, stirring our family favorite kaya by hand.

At Rumah, we strive to keep our family traditions alive while putting new yet familiar spins on traditional cafe classics. Think of us as an Asian-inspired Deli. Welcome to Rumah!
